fuckyeahtattoos: Awhile back i discovered Circa Survive through a friend, and naturally through them Esao Andrews, I loved his art as much as their music and have since 05. Last Fall i finally went through with the idea of doing an Esao Andrews/Circa sleeve here are two parts of it, the Falling dove and Monsoon with the on letting go balloon peaking a bit. Still much more to do, but im in love with it already. Huge thanks to Jae Audette at Flying Tiger Tattoo in New britain CT, for his awesome work!

fuckyeahtattoos: Done by Elize at Empire Tattoo in Somerville, MA. My dad’s parents immigrated to the states in 1950 from Belarus and the Ukraine, originally. My grandmother has always said that her maiden name could be loosely translated to “owl” and my grandfather’s (mine) to “eagle”. My grandfather always associated strongly with bald eagles, being bald himself, and a patriotic immigrant. I am constantly amazed and inspired by the life they built for themselves here, with nothing in their pockets but a pipe and tobacco. I wanted to get something that would inspire me to build the life I’ve dreamt of having, and not one that anyone else would have for me.
